The Downtown Social District

Purchase a beverage from a participating establishment and enjoy it while you walk downtown — within the rules below.

Container rules

  • Containers must be clear (not glass).
  • No larger than 16 fluid ounces.
  • Must display "Drink Responsibly – Be 21" in at least 12-point font.

Participation

Businesses — both ABC permittees and non-permittees — opt in or out via a registration form. Participation is enforced by the North Wilkesboro Police Department. Non-respondents are opted out by default.
