Outdoor Economy Plan

The town has adopted an Outdoor Economy Plan focused on stewarding the assets that make North Wilkesboro distinctive — the rivers, the trails, and the working landscape.

Regional StoryMap

Developed by the High Country Council of Governments in collaboration with the Health Foundation and the Outdoor Economy Working Group, the StoryMap showcases outdoor assets across Wilkes County.

Smoot Park is home to the Smoot Park Swimming Pool and is part of an active revitalization effort. A Parks Master Plan process is underway; check the news page for the current survey and RFQ status before responding.
